We have been informed of an issue in the areas of ITSP, myPortal @work and Unify Phone by many partners/customers who select SIPGATE (stun.sipgate.net) as their STUN server service.
With this knowledge base article we would like to inform you quickly about possible workaround options.
The following use cases may be affected if this STUN server (stun.sipgate.net) is used by your customers:
- myPortal @work
If myPortal @work is used behind a firewall with NAT traversal e.g. for HomeOffice usage please change to another STUN server to one of the below mentioned alternatives. This can be done in the user settings of myPortal @work.
- Unify Phone User
If OpenScape Business is using a private IP address, it also use this STUN server to identify its public IP address. In that case the configured STUN Server should be changed in the OSBiz WBM under Expert Mode Unify Phone settings.
- Some SIP Providers may also be configured to use this STUN server. Especially for the following SIP Providers we recommend to check the configured STUN server in OSBiz WBM Expert mode and change it in case stun.sipgate.net is being used.
A1 SIP Trunk - Slovenija
PC CH – Internet Static IP
- Please check in addition in the OS Biz WBM, Expert Mode, Voice Gateways, Internet Telephony Service Provider that even here no SIPGATE is selected as the default STUN Server.
In all mentioned cases please use one of the below listed STUN servers instead of the stun.sipgate.net STUN server:
