As part of NEC’s exit from the unified communications market, NEC is requiring us to discontinue the use of NEC’s brand names, and we have been working closely with our partner community to complete the transition to Intermedia-branded services. Since early 2025, all new accounts have been provisioned under Elevate brand.

We are now preparing for the final step – rebranding the desktop and mobile apps that are still in use by legacy NEC UNIVERGE BLUE customers.

This branding change applies to UNIVERGE BLUE accounts created before January 26, 2025 (EU).

NOTE: This is not a platform migration – your customers already operate on the Intermedia platform. 

Why this matters:

With NEC’s exit from the market, the use of NEC branding on Intermedia’s platform is coming to a close. Once this transition is complete, all Intermedia services – new and existing – will operate under the Elevate brand.

This transition offers important benefits:

• One set of apps and documentation
• Less confusion for your customers
• A more consistent support and onboarding experience
• Prepares your accounts for future platform enhancements – including the many planned AI-powered innovations coming to Elevate.

What to expect:

• Brand transitions are scheduled to begin in October 2025 and will conclude by mid-2026.
• You’ll receive further communication about the specific timing for your accounts.
• Intermedia will provide step-by-step instructions and prewritten customer communications - to guide you and your customers throughout the transition.
• Upon completion of this transition, UNIVERGE BLUE-branded apps will be retired, and your customers will all shift to the Elevate apps.

This communication marks the beginning of a staged rollout. We will provide further guidance on the next steps - to help ensure a smooth experience and for both you and your customers.
