myPortal to go for iOS Call Kit
Unify has released a new version of myPortal to go (iOS) that includes CallKit support. CallKit is a framework that aims to enhance the VoIP experience by allowing myPortal to go (iOS) to integrate with the native phone UI. The minimum required system software version is V3R2. However, we strongly recommend updating customer systems to V3R2 Hotfix 7 after the release. HF7 fixes an issue where external VoIP calls are not signaled to the app via a call kit notification.
iOS security requirements apply when connecting to the communication server. The current Openscape Business auto-generated self-signed certificate is not sufficient if the app connects to the communication server using a domain name instead of a server IP address. Apple has revised its security requirements for TLS server certificates https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210176.
To avoid problems when myPortal to go (iOS) cannot establish a connection to the communication server, we recommend either connecting to the communication server via the IP address or installing a trustworthy SSL certificate on the server side.
Note: Hotfix 7 also includes extended support for trusted SSL certificates, in particular SHA-384 signatures as used in certificates from some popular trust authorities such as ZeroSSL.
